MEET DR. DAVID HONG
Dr. Hong began his journey in dentistry at Temple University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology. He continued his education at Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, where he honed his skills and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Driven by a desire to serve, Dr. Hong dedicated an additional year to a general practice residency at the Veteran Affairs of New York Hospital in Brooklyn. This experience deepened his respect and admiration for our nation’s veterans.
His mission for Tanglewood Family dentistry is to build trust and transparency, where each patient feels comfortable and genuinely cared for. Dr. Hong is passionate and committed to giving back to the community he serves. He has volunteered for Baptists on Mission, as well as Pathway to Health. He is a member of the ADA (American Dental Association), NCDS (North Carolina Dental Society) and Northeast Wake Dental Study Club.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hong enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and son. He is an enthusiastic foodie who is constantly exploring new cuisines and places to eat. Dr. Hong looks forward to meeting you and your family, and he’s excited to be a part of this vibrant community!
MEET OUR LEGACY
Dr. Paul D. Nifong was a respected veteran who served in the Air Force before graduating from UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 1959. A year later, he and his brother, Dr. Frank M. Nifong, MD opened a private practice together, dedicating 19 years of service to the Clemmons community. In addition to serving as President of the Forsyth County Dental Society in 1982, Dr. Paul D. Nifong was deeply involved in his local church and actively supported various ministries.
Following his father's footsteps, Dr. Paul D. Nifong Jr. also attended UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. In 1978, father and son built the office that stands today, establishing their family's dental legacy. Dr. Paul D. Nifong Jr. actively contributed to the community by educating students at Clemmons Elementary school on the significance of proper dental hygiene. Through his positive influence, he has also inspired young students to pursue careers in dentistry.
In 2024, the practice was entrusted to Dr. David Hong, who proudly respects and carries on their legacy of excellence in dental care.
